A bright future for China's textile industry
Since ancient times, China has been a big country in silk and cotton textile industry, occupying an important position in national economic production. However, China's textile industry has not formed large-scale industrial production for a long time, so it is quickly overtaken by other countries in the development wave of global industrial revolution. Until the westernization movement in the late qing dynasty, driven by a group of modern industrialists such as zhang zhidong, the textile industry with real modern significance sprouted in the land of China.
After more than 100 years of ups and downs in the development of China's textile industry has been a rapid development. In particular, from 1978 to 2018, China's economy underwent tremendous changes under the great tide of reform and opening up. This is a period of 40 years of spectacular and rapid development of China's economy, and also a history of revival of China's textile industry.
Driven by the development of industrial technology and the expansion of market demand, China's textile industry has developed rapidly, realizing the sustained and rapid growth of industry scale and economic benefits, and the textile industry has further consolidated its pillar position in the national economy. Statistics show that the total output value of China's textile industry in 2017 was more than 140 times that of 1978, the export scale of textile and clothing was 127.4 times that of 1978, and the fiber processing capacity was 54.3 million tons (excluding glass fiber), nearly 20 times that of 1978. As the world's largest textile producer, consumer and exporter, China's status is hardly to be challenged.
In the next few years, with the steady growth of the national economy and the continuous improvement of household income, the expansion of domestic demand and consumption upgrading will provide the biggest impetus for the development of China's textile industry. At the same time, under the superposition of development dividends such as green development, consumption upgrading, new urbanization construction and the full implementation of the two-child policy, China's textile market will have a broader development prospect. Sun ruizhe, President of the China textile industry association, believes that the world economy is entering a new upward cycle and showing a trend of recovery, which provides an important window for the high-quality development of the textile industry.
The 13th five-year development plan of textile industry formulated by China also specifies the development goal of maintaining rapid growth of China's textile industry in the next five years. During the 13th five-year plan period, the average annual growth rate of the added value of textile enterprises above the designated size in China will remain at 6-7%, and the average annual growth rate of consumer expenditure on clothing and home textiles will be around 8%.
However, the reality is that although China's textile industry has a bright future, it is now facing many challenges such as "insufficient application of innovation, unbalanced supply and demand structure, and insufficient integration of industry and finance". Sun ruizhe believes that to achieve high-quality development of China's textile industry, it is necessary to continuously deepen supply-side structural reform, make the optimal allocation of factors and improve the quality and quantity of economic growth.
Green development, the establishment of green manufacturing system of textile industry and the strengthening of green consumption concept are the "golden key" to solve the problems of current industry development. According to the goals of the 13th five-year plan for the development of the textile industry, by 2020, the energy consumption per unit of added value of the textile industry in China will drop by 18%, the water intake per unit of added value of the textile industry will drop by 23%, and the total discharge of major pollutants will drop by 10%. The proportion of recycled textile fiber in the total fiber processing volume will continue to increase.
Green fiber industry is the "power source" for China to become a powerful textile country.
"Green fiber" generally refers to the soluble fiber, also known as Lyocell fiber, tencel, based on renewable resources as raw materials, such as trees, bamboo, etc, in N - methyl morpholine - N - oxide (NMMO) as solvents, using clean processing technology, the production process does not produce pollution, raw materials, production process, the implementation of the green environmental protection product, known as the "21st century green fiber", is to take the Chinese textile industry pioneer technology of the implementation of "green development".
